PEL Attends DOD Annual SBIR Conferences
Groton, CT - PEL Associates attended the recent Beyond SBIR
Phase II Conference in Palm Desert, CA, and the Annual SBIR Conference in
Hartford, CT. The former event was by-invitation for selected small businesses
that had completed a Phase II SBIR Project and were candidates for Phase III
Commercialization. Both events were sponsored by the US Department of Defense
(DOD). In attendance were senior technology officers of the major prime defense
contractors and DOD agencies.
Dr. Mort Wallach, President of PEL Associates presented poster overviews of PEL
technology and applications, and had two full days of one-on-one matchmaker
meetings with defense industry officials and government agency representatives
at each meeting. Prime Contractors considered potential business partnerships to
compliment small business technology portfolio and extend its R&D efforts.
Government leaders sought innovative cutting edge technologies that fit
acquisition program needs.
Power Point Posters and Quad Charts of advanced PEL technologies included smart
micro-sensor and coating applications for submarine detection, port security,
and ship antifouling and aircraft deicing. PEL Associates is located at the
University of Connecticut in Groton, CT.
